Sometimes we have to let the one, we loved, go... It's painful I know and it takes time to understand it...

It's so funny that we (I) didn't know him at all, yet I was so sad to hear the news of his passing. My sympathies to his wife and family.

A great talent, a big heart...always to be remembered.
Your great performances will be treasured and your strong will in life itself will (hopefully) be a guidance for others in future.
Although we know, that you've now achieved eternal knowledge, you'll be greatly missed by all fans you left behind.
My condolence to Lisa & Family.
Remember, people are only dead, once they're forgotten.
I'll always remember you, Patrick Swayze.

I know this thread has faded, but I received an anecdote about this man this evening that seemed worth passing on.. as someone reading it mentioned, it illustrated one facet of Patrick's life well lived :).
---------

I saw him several times at the Pyramid Society in Lexington KY. They host the National horse show there every few years. It is open only to straight Egyptians.

When you are in the horse park, horses always have the right of way. One year I was walking to the indoor arena and I hear the clatter of hooves at a fast trot behind me. A man called out "heads up". I immediately stepped to the side of the road and into a pile of horse droppings. The rider stopped to apologize. It was Patrick Swayze riding his stallion. I started laughing and said no big deal. I told him I was dirty dancing to get out of the way. He laughed too.

That night was the Liberty class. That is where a stallion is turned loose in the arena and it is semi choreographed to a piece of music. Basically you want the stallion to use the whole arena, change gaits and directions. You have two people permitted in the arena to keep the horse moving.

Patrick Swayze entered that stallion in the Liberty class. He was one of the handlers. It was wonderful to see him actually dancing with his stallion. It was beautiful.

I dare say he left quite a legacy of memories to his loved ones..

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
