I watched about 20 minutes of "The Mothman Prophecies" about three weeks ago. I think I'll need about another two months before I can watch another Richard Gere film without having the urge to projectile vomit.

He played his character with the zeal of a crash test dummy on Zanax.

LMAO! Descriptive writing at it's best! I didn't see that movie, but can just imagine how bad it is from your description!
Cheesesteak - I find that the book version is always better then the movie version.

RG is always the same character, it seems. I don't know what will keep me away more- the sad part about the dog waiting and dying or RG!

It's cliche because it is true. I would rather read the book (as that is the author's original version). I prefer to utilize my imagination rather then what the movie producers. Not to mention - there is generally more depth in a book that can't or will not be relayed to a script. One easy example is Jaws. In the book there is the sub-story of Brody's wife & Hooper's attraction. This is not covered by the movie - and Steven Speilberg is no slouch.

Thanks, you'd think she'd fly like a kite; but she tucks them down pretty good when she's got to!
