It is a wonderfully written and complete article. I don't know if it'll entice me the read 800 pages, but Matthew sounds perfect as Arthur. Even if he is officially a decade too young he is such a good actor he can portray that character so well from within that it believeable. Sort of like what they are saying about Frank Langella as Nixon. He doesn't particularly look like Nixon but he becomes the role so well that you believe.

As much as I would love to watch this new series, I just happen to live in the wrong continent for sure! We can only watch BBC Worldwide news and no Tv series like in BBC America. All I can do is wait until it comes out on DVD. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for BBC series like this one to be available on DVD?

Hello Sharon, well when Lost in Austen was shown some lovely person put the episodes up on You Tube almost instantly. We are hoping against hope that someone will do the same this time! Unfortunately after the first two eps the clips were withdrawn but then ITV are strict about licensing, or it could have been a marketing ploy! The happy news was that all the eps were on You Tube. |

Nice article Sue T,thanks!!! I think Little Dorrit is going to be a great series we are all going to talk about. It's going to touch us as how Mr. Darcy touched our heart in P&P. I'm looking forward to see it even if it is on You Tube,of course I hope that it is available on YT!!!!

You are right May. And in fact, the BBC's iplayer will have the whole series to download after the first series airs next week! Even though we can't get into that (because we are not of an UK origin) I believe the world will see the whole series real soon! |

This sentence/paragraph also caught my eye when reading through the article. It made my stomach jump just knowing that MM will be giving yet another emotional character performance. I sure hope Masterpiece picks this up during the winter months. I can't think of anything more "warming" than Sunday nights with MM......(sigh) |

The article mentions the 1988 feature film adaptation starring Derek Jacobi... I certainly remember it! It is one of the greatest films ever and you should all go a get the DVD!
