My guess is she couldn't put up with his left wing liberal politics coupled with his drug addictions. Like so many Hollywood aging actors and comedians he thought the world needed his keen insight into politics. That's what has killed George Carlin and Garrison Keeler's careers - Every show became a soap box for their whacked out, left wing slams.

I don't mean to be making light of this because divorce is not anything funny, but I got to thinking that this sounds like a real life "Mrs. Doubtfire" and I saw the picture of Mr. Williams and thought to myself, "Damn, at least this time he wouldn't have to use that much latex to look old...." because...well...HE LOOKS OLD! I met him once back in San Francisco when I lived there eons ago and he was a very nice man. I was working security for a woman's artshow and he showed up there with his wife (this one) and his kids and I got to chat amiably with him just one on one for about 5 minutes or so before he went inside. I think he really appreciated the fact I didn't go GaGa over the fact that he was Robin Williams or I did do what he said SO MANY people still do to him, even after 30+ years, and that was "Nanu Nanu" alond with the Orkian hand gesture. He chuckled when I asked him about that and he said that was kind of neat for awhile, but then after about the trillionth time it has a tendancy of getting old and wearing on one's nerves. I laughed and nodded and wished him and his wife and kids a very nice day and they went inside. Very nice man.

His career has really tanked, especially after the OSCAR... how many of those does your hero, Sean Hannity have? Oh that's right -- he's a BAD actor... maybe Rush and Hannity can take their show on the road, and do 300 gigs a year like Leno or Williams used to do? Nah, that would make it too complicated for Limpbawls, who'd have trouble scoring oxycontin in that many cities ...

He is back on the smack. Wife threatened to leave him before- he went to rehab- he got caught back up in the lies, drugs, and travel.

I would also like to bet that his performances were cancelled due to a recurrance of "old bad habits" and his week of rest is to slow down, get off the sauce, and try to beg his wife to take him back...

Its a shame. A wonderful comedian that has the same problems as many of us or our extended family members have. It affects us all and addiction is so strong. Even the most beautiful souls vanish in quicksand.
