HELLO TO ALL! I WATCHED THE "ALL ABOARD" HBO DOCUMENTARY AND I THINK IT WAS GREAT. I AM A STRAIGHT MARRIED FEMALE AND I THOUGHT THIS HAD TO BE THE MOST WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR THE GAY AND LESBIAN COUPLES, TO BE ABLE TO BE CAREFREE AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY WHAT OTHERS ARE THINKING , HAND POINTING ECT. TO WATCH THE MEN INTERACT WITH THEIR LITTLE ONES, JUST BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. EVERYONE DESERVES LOVE AND THE FREEDOM TO SHOW IT. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU! ROSIE AND KELLI THANK GOD FOR YOU, FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE AND MAYBE OPENING UP MORE EYES OF SOCIETY SO THERE WILL BE LESS DISCRIMINATION. LIFE IS JUST TOO SHORT!!

I just finished watching The Family Cruise on HBO. I am a straight married femal and I was crying. Watching the 2 guys with the daughter getting ready to go off to college. Life goes by so quickly. My oldest is 10 and youngest is 7 and time is just flying by. I feel thier pain. What I loved most about this show was seeing all the kids of these parents sharing their stories and comments. They all expressed such love for their parents and support. Look at all the kids these days who never have love in their life. These kids know what love really is. It should not matter 2 dads, 2 moms, 1 dad, 1 mom or a Mom & Dad. All that matters is love and teaching your child to be the best person that they can be. And that is what a big part of this cruise was all about. Seeing parents who love thier children and children who love their parents. I have an uncle who is gay and he and his partner have spent Christmas with us for the last 8 years and have always stayed all night here. My kids know that they are gay and they think nothing of it. That is Uncle Jeff & Uncle John. They know no different. Unfortunatly Jeff & John broke up and only uncle Jeff came this year. My son asked where Uncle John was and asked when he was coming back. He said he missed Uncle John. We all do. I wish these famlies did not have to go on a cruise to have a week of freedom. Life should be this way. We live in the USA. We have Freedom??? Right??? It is time people stop thinking their way is so perfect and open their eyes to the fact that they are missing out on the fact that we are all free human beings and we deserve the right to live our life!!!

I also watched the documentary. I am a straight married woman with grandchildren. It's a shame that people aren't allowed to live as they wish to live. I don't know why people in our country are busy quoting the Bible as their source in saying homosexuality is wrong. The Bible also tells us to treat our slaves well. Let's be grown up and not believe every word the Bible says for once in history.

Homosexuality has been around since the beginning of time. Therefore, to my mind, it must have been what the Creator wanted for those who believe in a higher power.

For those who say homosexuals have an agenda, I say if they were allowed to live as normal human beings just as heterosexuals are, they wouldn't have an agenda! That's all they are asking--to get married as we do, to have kids, to live their lives. Why is it anybody's business how people live as long as those people aren't hurting you?

Why do Americans believe they have the right to impose their ideas on others? We really should worry about our dependence on oil and terrorism rather than worrying about what somebody else is doing in their very own bedroom.

By the way, my children are straight, as are my grandchildren. We aren't straight by choice. We were born that way. Homosexuals aren't homosexual by choice. They were born that way. Who in their right mind would choose to be homosexual and be harrassed all their lives? We cannot help how we were born.

I WATCHED THE "ALL ABOARD" HBO DOCUMENTARY AND I THINK IT WAS GREAT. I am married to a wonderful man,we now have 5 grandchildren, but I think you would have to search long and hard to find any father as loving and caring as the gay men who were in this HBO special---same goes for the gay moms. Won't it be a wonderful world when no child goes without being adopted and gay women can have the same priviledge as straight women, without having to pay $10-20,000 for each failed attempt to get pregnant. All my love and respect. Rosie and Kelly, I believe you lit the candle this time.

I watched this documentary by accident during a day off and blubbered throughout the show! One of the things that got me was when a girl said she couldn't draw her family tree in class because she had two moms. That concerned me a lot as a teacher. In my B. Ed. program, our professors in Teacher Education have incorporated diversity so strongly that we have to ensure that every child who enters our classroom should be embraced and accepted, regardless of background, orientation, color and other factors. And yes, if she wanted to draw her family tree as having two dads, two moms, a single mother, or a single dad, nothing should make her fearful to do so. And we, as teachers, will ensure that she will safe in accomplishing that.

The documentary was honest, wonderful and surprising. It made my afternoon.

I just watched the Cruise Documentary; needed a box of kleenex....... I'm a straight single Mom so I recognised so much parenting "things" (sweet; made me smile)and I marvelled at all the beautiful parents and children; so much love!( we should all be so loving!)
The couple with the five!! children should be made parents of the century!! Astonishing family; an example for us all.
The contrast with the hate-filled faces of the protesters in the Bahamas was heartwrenching.
I hope Rosie&Kelli can organise more of these holidays in the future; I'm Jewish and what they did we call a 'mitzvah'(a blessing) where I come from.
I wish all the famillies from the documentary all the best; long life, joy and love,
Yidith
PS: hope the one couple who wanted children is happily pregnant by now?

While channel surfing, I happened across the HBO special, "Rosie O'Donnell's Cruise for Gay Families." I found myself thinking of how many children are caught up in the system and being "WARDS OF THE COURT" because so many people are stuck on their high horses about same sex marriages.

What I saw was tons of love being shared amongst all of the families. And, the smiles on the childrens' faces were priceless; not to mention the joy displayed by the men and women who were given the opportunity to become parents.

I applaud YOU ALL in your efforts.

Surfing channels one Saturday, I came across your documentary of the cruise.

This cruise showed so much loce between parents and their children, I was proud to be a parent. This is parenting is all about.

Every teen should see this and witness what love is and can be.

Fantastic!!!!

I LOVE WHAT ELEANOR SAID CAUSE SHE DID SAY IT WELL: I mean really who among us was ever given the oppurtunity to choose ANY of the characteristics they were born with? EACH AND EVERYONE OF US IS BORN THE WAY WE'RE BORN, AND ALL ANY OF US CAN DO IS LIVE WITH EVERYONE THE BEST WE CAN, LOVE EVERYONE THE BEST WE CAN, & GET ALONG WITH EVERYONE BECAUSE OF IT OR INSPITE OF IT THE BEST WE CAN.

I have not seen the documentary, I have only read articles about it and have read others' comments... I want to express my deepest concern that so many people are so blinded by their wickedness they have bought into the lie that homosexuality is "normal" and healthy. I weep for the children who will pay for the sins of their parents. Secondly, I want to express my deepest regret that many conservatives & Christians have become so blinded by self-righteousness that we've forgotten that we are ALL sinners. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross to save ALL of us. The Bible is very clear that God loves the entire world; however, we must remember that He is perfectly just. Don't be persuaded by the media, or by liberal or conservative. Be persuaded to read the Bible for yourself and see if God is not calling ALL to repentance.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however ignorant it may be. Having said that, ignorant opinions like yours are the fuel that fires the hate and discrimination of gay/lesbian citizens of this country. You are allowed to live your life, and practice your religion in complete freedom....while your gay and lesbian neighbors are forced to feel like second class citizens.
I am embarassed for your ignorance. You should read your bible again, and pray that God reveals to you the truth. Not the biggotted truth that your parents obviously taught you.
