She always will. She was the one major film Star that Hollywood never gave credit. She was always told at the studios, "Remember, you're not a Star" while Clark Gable and others said she was top of the line in acting but was typecast for sexy which she was attempting to change in her last film where she had children.

Gable said she was filled with talent but was also unprofessional in that she was always late. That part was likely due to her addiction and lack of self-confidence.

Monroe was paid one hundred thousand dollars for her last movie while Elizabeth Taylor was paid one million plus a percentage of profits which made her millions in 1962. Monroe brought as many people to the movies as Taylor and should have been treated and paid the way Taylor was and I say this with love for Elizabeth too because I liked her just as much and it was not her fault Hollywood did Monroe the way it did.
