Film Review - My Sister's Keeper

A FILM about a teenage girl dying of leukaemia may sound like a straightforward weepie, but My Sistera s Keeper definitely isna t. Annaa s parents had her so she would be a perfect genetic match for her sick sibling Kate and this has resulted in the youngster enduring a series of painful and risky medical procedures to keep her sister alive.

if you have read the book, prepare to be disappointed by the movie. the movie was too choppy, i absolutely hated the flashbacks, they are wonderful in the book but awful on the big screen. for such a wonderful cast and book, i could have waited for it to come on video and disliked it just as much then. feed your brain, instead of going to the movies, read the book, it is a thousand times better.

I agree, I loved the book it is one of my faves. I was excited for the movie, I even saw it opening day.. The movie was horrible.. now I know movies are always worst than the book, but this was one of the worst.. Please read the book, I garentee you will get to know each character better and cry even harder.

I can't believe Hollywood blew it by changing he ending. They had an opportunity to make a classic and blew it big time by making it an ordinary child is dying flick. Her books are great and always with a twist, without the twist this was an ordinary summer tear jerker. Too bad.
