I encourage movie-goers to ignore the critics and see this movie. It makes you laugh and cry (there was sobbing out loud in my theater..not me..I just had silent tears running down my face soaking into my sweater!) and think about holding those you love close to you. And Butler is soooo nice to watch and look at.

Gerry is a one of a kind in many ways. His charm does overflow. With every movie you can wonder how much of this character is Gerry, with P.S. there is a lot. Yeah, he does keep you guessing and it is a hoot with the things that come out of his mouth, you really never do know, but he is genuine and what you see is what you get.

He is a rare talent. It doesn't matter the role he plays, the moment he appears on the screen the scene is his. He has the charisma of actors from years past and he has what it takes for staying power. He gives his roles everything he has and then some, again something you don't always see today.

It was disheartening to read what some critics have said about P.S. I Love You. It truly is a wonderful story. You can sit in the theater and not know whether to laugh or cry so you find youself doing everything all at once. See the movie and let Gerry and the cast take you on a journey of love and life. You will find that the "critics" are wrong, but then how often do we agree with their outlook?

This article is inaccurate on a couple of points. Before the information is repeated, the record needs to be set straight.

1. Not all of Gerry's fans consider themselves "tarts." "Tart" is usually a designation for members of the fansite www.gerardbutler.net . Over 4,000 of us also consider ourselves GALS (see, www.gerardbutlergals.com ). The GAL, Erika Wolfe (aka BellaWolfe), that organized this fundraiser (which has taken over a year in planning and coordinating) was successful in making this a multi-Gerard Butler Fansite endeavor, uniting us all in one common goal.

2. The doll was not a gift to Mr. Butler, but yet part of a fundraiser to raise money for the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign. Mr. Butler very graciously signed the doll, adding incalculable value to the item, which sold on ebay on 12/22/07, for over $2,000.00, with 100% of the proceeds going to Toys for Tots.

Should you like additional information regarding the doll, aka "GerryUSA," you may contact me at [email protected]

Great article. Too bad you got the wrong fansite which was sponsering the Gerry USA doll and fundraiser for Toys for Tots, which raised $2,500 for this worthy cause. It wasn't Gerardbutler.net and the Tarts it was Gerardbutlergals.com and his Gals.

Perhaps more research next time would make for a correct article.

Gerry is an extremely fascinating man who is ubber talented. It's great to see his talent finally being recognized.

Gerry is a dream of an actor. His energy and faith in what he's doing is contagious. There are few actors of this high calibre around. I will go to the movies to see this man anytime and I am one of many. PS.I love you his latest I can't wait to see. I just saw P.S. I Love You!! and I am once again hooked on Gerard's look, performance, smile, charm, voice,~ you name it...he has it! Go see the movie...it completely works and you become a believer. Hillary and Harry Connick Jr, and Kathy Bates, and all the rest of the cast are wonderful, but Gerry Butler steals your heart...at least mine and millions of others, that is!! Enjoy 2 hours of pure movie delight! PS- see it again and again!

Gerry Butler stands out in every movie he is in. He is talented, gracious and very real. He's the guy you wished you had in your family, if not in your arms. His performances always amaze me. He absolutely becomes every charactor he portrays

I have been a Gerard Butler fan since Phantom and am not surprised that his career is finally taking off. It seems like he can do just about any role he puts his mind to!!

I do have mixed emotions though. I'm not quite sure how I feel about sharing him with the rest of the world!!

Good luck Gerry - I know you will be a star!!

i just so happen to think that gerard butler isnt a good actor at all. i feel that his role in e phantom of the opera was not heartfelt and fluffy. now people lets not all be quick to judge not everyone has the same opinion. i also feel that its pretty redicilous to have a chat about him honestly.......look up my fave actor MATTHEW MACONAHAY just kidding im not a fan of him either but lets face it he needs to shave his beard take a shower and get a home. so much for celebritys have money geesh!
