I FELL IN LOVE WITH ROSS SINCE WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO AND STILL TODAY. I MUST SAY YES SHE HAS DONE THINGS HER WAY AND SOME OF IT HASN'T ALWAYS BEEN RIGHT, BUT SO MANY OF US HAVE DONE THE SAME THING
IT IS JUST THAT WE ARE NOT IN THE PUBLIC EYE. IF
YOU LOVE DIANA YOU WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER, BUT IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO JUST LISTEN TO HER SONGS FROM TIME TO TIME THEN YOU MIGHT THINK VERY DIFERRENT

i have to laugh when i read these kinds of comments. do you know her personally or have you based your opinion on some of the things you have read? did you ever read how generous and giving she is as a person and how many things that have been negatively said about her have been proven not to be true? i would be she is a tough person to work for and under her circumstances might even be a pain as an artist, like so many other from streisand to pavorotti. she is know to be a perfectionist and that cannot be refuted. however, after seeing her in concert many many times, she has been nothing but generous of her talents and most appreciative of her fans at all times. that is what you should base your opinion on. not heresay, mary wilson who is supposed to still love her former "sister" yet takes every opportunity to trash her. we often here the negatives in the press about ross, but there are a lot more positives about things she has done that never see the light of print. i won't even begin to list what i do know for fact as i'm sure ross doesn't feel the need for me to defend her. however, as a fan and knowing what i know, i want to defend her. bottom line, respect her talent or not, that is up to you. but don't judge her as not being a very nice person when you have no foundation for a comment like that unless you had some kind of bad encounter, which i doubt. she is a legend and one of the greatest entertainers of all time and finally getting some respect from the same ones who always dogged her. her fans know the truth and love and respect her talent. long live MISS ROSS.

The legend of The Supremes is greater than the sum of its individual parts. Flo, Mary, and Diane, along with Berry Gordy, The Funk Brothers, H-D-H, Cholly Adkins, and Motown Record Corporation are all individual parts. If you enjoy Diane, go back to when she was in her prime, a part of something bigger and better than herself, THE LEGENDARY SUPRMES!!!!!!

I agree with you Neil. However, you forgot to include Cindy Birdsong. She became a Supreme when the Supremes went over the top and into Drag Queen Legend with the HUGE wigs and the overly sequined gowns. She was standing on that stage with Diana and Mary as La Ross left and went on to solo superstardom and legendary status. I personally would pay ANY amount of money for a ticket to see Diana, Mary and Cindy reunite for a concert tour. And as far as the previous posts go, none of us was there, none of us knows what actually went on. Diana saw things as she saw them, Mary saw things her way and Florence saw things as she saw them...and of course Cindy as well. I don't necessarily buy into any of the versions but I am eagerly anticipating Cindy Birdsong's book. She was somewhat of a disinterested 3rd party at the end when Diana was supposedly at her bitchiest. We've heard Mary's version in her two books and Diana's VERY brief touch on it in her "autobiography'. Sadly, Mary has made a career off of Diana's back her whole career. It is a fact that from Love Child on to Someday We'll Be Together the Supremes never sang a single note on ANY studio song released by Motown. Yet they were paid for those same songs. Mary still gets royalties to this day. She never ever wrote in her books about how generous Diana was to her during her hard years when the 70s Supremes career was swirling the drain and the aftermath. I think it's folly to take one version and accept it as truth. I am sure the truth lies somewhere around all the versions of the stories that have been put out there. But let's all remember one thing. Diana Ross was 25 years old when she stood on that stage in Las Vegas at the Frontier Hotel for their final show. Who WASN'T immature and strong-headed in their 20s?? When you have a major record mogul at your beck and call and he's filling your head full of ego stroking compliments who wouldn't start to believe their own publicity?? I think it's time for EVERYONE to back off of Ross and remember that she got to the top because of her talent NOT because of her friends. And the Supremes would NOT have been the superstars they were if Diana wasn't the lead singer. She propelled them to superstardom. Any two women could have stood behind her and been equally successful. So before we blame Ross for being a "bitch" let's also remember that she is reportedly also extremely generous. Not all celebrities do their charity work with a team of photogs and reporters to record it all for publicity!!

rita! please have you no sense of class!! She may be old
& washed up as the years have gone by and the britanys, the cristinas and the hanna montana's come by but this women has paved the way for the
young black performers of today. So what if she's
a bitch. All those young singers are no different
with those big ego's too. As for u, get a job that offers some kind of talent and when u retire
then consider urself a "wash-up" cuz u'll never
accumilate the millions diana has. Stop ragging on
a women who should slap u down for being so nasty!!

can't believe how awful some of the comments about Diana Ross. America should remember what it was like when the supremes started out. Also Mary Wilson is one bitter woman.
