Roy Scheider was one of the best. "Cohen & Tate," "The Men's Club," "The Myth of Fingerprints" and "The Good War" (aka "Texas 46") are some of his most overlooked good films.

Yes, but, it has been said many times that Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neil were actually very close friends.

Just because I may have disagreed with Mr. Scheider's beliefs does not make him less of a person.

Doesn't anyone remember how he would block any projects that not only involved transmission of power to LI, but alternative means of power generation, such as the off-shore windmills that would ruin his view, despite being MILES off shore. He did everything he could to keep his property values up, despite how much they'd compromise the lives of "little" people.

I'm so relieved. He's still dead. I saw this thread resurrected and I was getting worried he died again, alla Robert Palmer.

Roy will forever remind me of our glorious oceans and blue sea. Coincidentally,he resembles the jacque coustaeu and his son! Youre now up there with Jonathan brandis in the eternal blue heaven.
