THERE IS NO ULTIMATE ELVIS!!!!!!!!!! There is, and always will be, one and ONLY ONE Elvis Presley. The ETAs are a joke, with one exception, Rick Alviti, who only pays tribute to Elvis. He does not try to sound like Elvis, act like Elvis or look like ELvis, but does a GREAT job of paying tribute to Elvis. This Ultimate Elvis Contest is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Cherry sounds fabulous! That was a nice write-up on him as an Elvis Tribute artist. I am anxious to see him and hear his performance!

What are all of these negative comments about?

Give the guy a break! He didn't win a $ 1,000 prize for being bad!

Where can I see his performance? Website?

Cathy

PS Do I detect some jealousy?

As an Elvis "fanatic" for more than 50 yrs, I, for one, appreciate a good Elvis impersonator to keep his memory alive. I enjoy watching and listening and recalling fond memories of Elvis.

Yes, it's true that no one could ever come close to being Elvis again, but some impersonators do love Elvis and respect his memory.

I don't know if Bill Cherry wears a wig or not, but if he does, SO WHAT??!!( Some people are so immature in their posts!)

I am still looking forward to his performance.

I will be in Memphis for Elvis Week '07 and The First Ever Elvis Cruise with my husband, Larry. We are bound to run into Bill somewhere!

We will be celebrating Elvis' life and our 39th Wedding Anniversary on August 17 in Memphis.

I have to give credit to the good Elvis impersonators! They do an excellent job and you can tell they love Elvis, not just the money they make as his impersonator!

If you are the same Cathy from the Elvis International Fan Club forum, I want to let you know this forum does not seem to have a moderator so there a lot of ....shall I say "colorful" posts on here. Just a heads up.
I've been reading a lot on the EI board and remember your name, I think, also remember you're going to Memphis and your 39th anniversary is coming up. Congratulations on that! Have a great time in Memphis! I don't know how you could help it with so many Elvis fans and Elvis activities going on!!

This is one of the reasons many of the "good" impersonators have not even lifted their heads up about this "Ultimate Elvis Contest". After participating in a few other contests, we have learned it does nothing but separate the fans because "their boy didn't win". EPE was advised of this and of course, in their fashion of doing things, decided to continue this fiasco in true EPE fashion. Just like kicking out Carol at Graceland Crossing so we could put in a display called "Elvis After Dark" which is full of crap. And as for Graceland, well so much for being the home of the King. EPE is doing nothing more than scampering because, after the 30th, there will be nothing, except us impersonators.

What is wrong with you Steve Davis is you cannot hang anymore. You are just as phony and even a characture of yourself. You have nothing to have memories of elvis about because its all about you.
And in the end your vocals stink!!! You have alot of nerve focusing on a wig when you have a cross between Bug Bunny and Elvis with those teeth and lets not mention the weight!!Ahum!

I've been reading a lot of negative stuff about EPE in the last couple of days. They seem to want a monopoly on everything Elvis. I see a souvenir shop called Boulevard Souvenirs is sueing EPE for trying to push them out of business. A lot of this I've seen on EER (elvis express radio) website.
Recently I've noticed on the official Elvis web that all their merchandise is twice as much as anywhere else. It also costs money to join their fan club where most others are free. EPE better wake up soon or they will lose whatever fans they have left.

OH LET THEM HAVE THEIR FUN IF THEY CHOOSE TO IMPERSONATE SOMEONE AND NOT DEVELOP THEIR OWN STYLE. THATS LIKE THE WACKO JACKOS. THEY JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE THEY PUT ON THAT RED LIPSTICK LIKE JOAN CRAWFORD AND CARRY AN UMBRELLA.
IF THEY WANT TO PLAY THE PART OF IMPERSONATING ELVIS AND EVERYONE PAYS TO GO TO THE SHOW AND LIVE THAT MOMENT AND PRETEND ITS ELVIS LOL. GO AHEAD AND DO IT.
PRISCILLA WAS ASKED WHO WAS THE BEST IMPERSONATOR AND SHE SAID NONE. NOONE CAN BE LIKE HIM THERES ONLY ONE ELVIS.
I THINK AFTER AWHILE THAT MUST DO SOMETHING TO YOU PSYCHOLOGICALLY. YOU ACTUALLY THINK YOURE HIM. NOW THATS A SAAAAAAAAAAD LIFE WHEN YOU LOSE YOURSELF IN SOMEONE ELSE.
MY NAME IS A JOKE BUT PEOPLE ARE SO FIXATED THAT THEY ACTUALLY COMMENT ON IT. SEE TOLD YA ABOUT PEOPLE. DUMB DUMBER AND PSYCHOS. ROFLMAO

Are there any links to go to where we can see these impersonator's? I am an Elvis and Princess Diana fanatic. I love to see anyone that can come close to impersonating them, I know there is only ONE of each and their dead, but I still like to "pretend". Thanks

Steve Davis came from my home town of Florissant, MO. We apparently both now live close to each other on the east side of St. Louis in Illinois. I met Steve once in the late 80's at Dale's Music. He is apparently, virtually never out of character and as a result I was kind of uneasy with the introduction. That is about all I knew about him past this "wig" comment, which seems petty at best. I also recently, I met Bill Cherry. We were introduced by his taylor who wanted to help Bill out with finding musicians to back him for live shows. Bill was quite courteous and I found him to be a decent guy. I think it bodes well that others are trying to help him advance his career as an ETA. We are currently working up a project together and should have it ready to go soon. For information on Bill and what we are working up, I have a prototype of a website we are planning on launching soon that you can see now at

http://www.brick.net/~wesearcy/Busters/

For my part, there's no need for the denegration on anybody's part. There's plenty of this business out there for everyone to enjoy and the cream will always rise to the level appropriate for each of those who choose to participate. Good luck to all, B-dub

Rick Alviti is the best. He does a true tribute to Elvis. Elvis himself would be proud. It's a class act.Check him out and decide for yourself at www.rickalvitishow.com
