@David -- I agree, lame story. However, I think the story is more about the Louboutins!

For the facts and "truthiness" about the Icon of American Culture and Humor, as the LIbrarian of Congress said to me about his fellow Philadelphian, do visit the Official W.C. Fields Web site www.wcfields.com
The pictures in this artice do capture the truth of the gentleness, elegance, intelligence, and sweetness in my grandfather's being, eyes, and carriage.
Best wishes to all,

Probably the headline will get people to read, even though only a few words are written about W. C. Fields' "ghost" (stuff falling off shelves?). Of course, a headline reading, "Rich couple who grows out of 3,400 sq. ft. house so he can build a wing for golf stuff" may be a turn-off.

The captions on two of your photos refer to "the Encino home he [W.C. Fields] once owned." Not true: he only leased the house, from October 1934 through May 1936.(This is stated correctly in the text of the article.)
