Smithville sees big business in being film-friendly

There are 2 comments on the News 8 Austin story from Nov 15, 2007, titled Smithville sees big business in being film-friendly. In it, News 8 Austin reports that:

“The benefits for the community are endless really. We get not only the production company, their crew, and cast eating in our restaurants and they spend some money in some of our shops”

On Smithville's historic Main Street things seem to move a bit slower. That wasn't the case 10 years ago, when a major Hollywood production came to town. via News 8 Austin

I saw Hope Floats on MTV the other night. It was nice to see my old stomping grounds.

I did a Photo Shoot in Smithville a few years back and I was over whelmed at how nice the people were. I saw such a great attitude it made me want to move there. When someone ask us about what the best towns are in Texas I tell them that Smithville is at the top of my list. Don't change.
