Typical MC article. They mention a good man's NRA alliance to paint him as a conservative and arouse the liberal venom. But they conveniently fail to mention that he marched beside Martin Luther King for civil rights and championed union causes as president of the Screen Actor's Guild.

Typical.....Yes, I noticed that, too. A leading civil rights advocate when much of Hollywood was ignoring the issue.

A gentleman, a scholar, a great actor, and a courageous defender of the Constitution, from the 2nd Amendment to equality for ALL Americans.

Although I didn't fully agree 100% with his gun policies, his political bearings were of the 'old' school.
He also was a "Goldwater' type conservative and didn't believe in what the Republican party represents today. He supported JFK when he thought his policies were good for the country. It wasn't the 'us' vs.'them' mentality we have today.
Too bad he's gone. He was one of my favorite actors.

This country would never have been born, without the armed citizens.

It's easy for all of you "anti-gun" tree-huggers to say otherwise, but the fact remains:

Without armed citizens, opposed to the government of 1776, there'd be no USA.

So say what you want - That's your right.

Do something about it, and I'll be exercising MY rights.
