Hey! Hope all is well on your side of the world. It is SO Hot and muggy here. Definitely summer now. I think when I used to bake in the heat at the beach in search of the darkest tan and now, lol, I prefer an indoor pool. Small amounts of oil tar balls from the spill have reached our beach but they are keeping pretty much on top of it. I remember tarballs back in the 70's especially in the bay, and they didn't clean it up back then. It was yuck if it got on you, like shoe polish.
How is your husband?
I wasn't able to keep my cat and the kittens, they made me wheeze. My nephew found homes for them. I miss them.
I am feeling a bit gloomy today as the mother of one of my friends passed away. I went to the viewing yesterday and the funeral is tomorrow. She was like a second mom to me and was always worried about me. She always kept me in her prayers. I hate not only losing someone I love(d), but also someone that loved me. It is such a comfort when they care so deeply and so wretched when that warmth disappears, is that not so? She would let me ramble on and on about the most inconsequential subjects, and just smile and agree, I could do no wrong in her eyes.
Well, I was just thinking about you and wanted to say "Hi". Didn't mean to ...ramble?
Gosh, Topix gets stranger and stranger as time goes by.

A delight to see you Moi, but such sad circumstances, I am so
sorry to hear of the passing of such a dear friend as this lady, your friend's Mom, was to you. Such a loss, she will leave a void to be sure, but her love will still envelope you, it doesn't just leave you. You will have such warm memories whenever she comes into your mind in time to come.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow, I know you will be strong, the only comfort is in knowing that there is no more pain. May she Rest In Peace.
Kind of you to ask about my husband's health, he is very well these days thanks, back to his old self, touching wood.
As it is hot there, quite cool here today and of course raining, and who would believe, as from tomorrow there will be a hosepipe ban enforced from mid-England up to the Scottish border, it won't affect us here as it rains enough for the UK. Literally. A village was flooded some time ago to provide a resevoir to be piped to Liverpool to give you an idea of how much rainfall we get.
My turn to ramble.
You saw the cat and kits off to a good start, and that is the main thing, glad your nephew managed to find good homes for them.
Speak soon, and take care.
