ER,
I haven't had a chance to tell you about my Christmas Present. Not really being a cat person, You can imagine how absolutely well-behaved and adorable this cat must be for me to name her, Sweetie.

She was starving and obviously a lost house cat that just showed up.... and it was so cold. I thought of you and wished I could send her to you but I guess she is stuck with me.

She adores attention and yet will leave me alone when I let her know I am busy.

Just because Offbeat has become what it is doesn't mean that you should leave Topix completely.

Hi Moi. Your little cat sounds a little sweetie, would love to hear more about her, have you still got her, she hasn't been claimed back by anyone I hope? Whover neglected her doesn't deserve to have her back, she is better off where she is looked after and loved.
I am 'training' Oliver to leave me alone when I am on my pc, he is getting the message but sits nearby sulking! lol It's a bit disconcerting when he sits on my mousepad trying to stop me using my hand.
This is a lovely forum and thank you so much for setting it up.

Looks like I get to keep her. Oh you have given me a wonderful question for you to write about. I started out thinking almost reverently of something that interested me about Grace, and since then, I have become progressively sillier. I will post it on your personal thread.

Anyway, Sweetie is a darling and I am very blessed. I had a sheltie "Chelsea" for 16 years. She passed away 10 years ago and I couldn't bear to replace her as she was irreplaceable. I was so fortunate to have her and still miss her and I think Sweetie is the perfect complement. LOL. Same colors too! Check your thread here, I am fixing to ask you something.

I love Shelties, lovely dogs, I can understand you not wishing to replace your girl. I have room in my heart for another dog, although I loved those who have passed like children, but I cannot, due to my rescue 'work'. So sweetie is a tortie? Yes.
Very individualistic creatures.

Okay, going over to see what's what.

Well, the saga continues....

Seems like 'poor skinny sweetie' was really aka 'Sweetie the Slut' and toting some buns in her oven for I figure 3 weeks before she took up with me... So as the landlord to 7 cats.... Having a new litter of 6 little mewling babes yesterday,- & renamed temporarily the slut and her brood.

I am not equipped for this, I do hope I will be able to find homes.

More to follow. I am investigating cat litter stock prices.

Sounds like Sweetie had been flung out on the streets for her 'sins'. A cat I took in bulging with kittens, but starving otherwise, kindly gave birth to five kits two days after I rescued her. We kept her and one of her kittens who was born blind, called the mother cat Lucy and the kitten Little Nell.

First thing, don't panic. Mum will take care of the babes for at least a fortnight, or three weeks, so you just need a little box for her. She will need extra chow so she doesn't lose condition, as her babes will take a lot out of her.

You will love seeing them develop, have you such a thing as a play pen to keep them confined when they are running around?

Good luck. Sweetie knew what she was doing when she sought you out!

Sorry, meant to say you just need a LITTER box for HER at present.
