I would like to read one review written by someone who has never read the books or seen the other movies. I think that if someone sees this film without prior knowledge, it would not stand as a good film. I didn't think it was very good because of how much is unexplained, even though I do know the story. This didn't have to be a Harry Potter film. You could change the names of the characters and just be left with a weak film. If it wasn't "Harry Potter," would the reviews still be so positive?

I'm in the same situation here Marcy.
I also think it was not as good as the previous 5 movies of Harry Potter. I was dissappointed with this 6th movie. It was so confusing and some scene just don't make any sense to me. I know I have read the books but I'm not expecting it to be exactly as the book. I, also would like to read one or few review by someone who has never read the books.:D thanks.

There's only one legitimate place I've found to watch it, the rest seem like scams :-/ You can see it over here though: http://vostuu.com/watch28015.html

It takes a minute to load but after that it's good to go :)

I think it's finally official. Every critic is either on the take or has lost their mind. In my opinion each movie in the series was better than the preceding one, up to now. The actors did an outstanding job with a boring, uninspired screenplay. I left the theater feeling foolish for anticipating this latest release. It was the equivalent of cinematic indigestion. Save you money for something more worth you while!

Could it have been more disappointing? I think not. I'm asking for a NEW DIRECTOR for the next two movies. I understand cutting scenes for the sake of time but who told David Yates and Steve Kloves to cut some of the most influential scenes? Rowling did a hell of a job writing the book, however, the movie did not do the book justice. Where were Bill & Fleur? Harry & Ginny? The end fight scene? Dumbledore's appropriate death? and what did adding a scene of a random run through a corn field and the burning of a house (which was never mentioned again in the movie, i suppose losing all your possessions in a fire isnt enough to cause some post-trauma...and easily forgotten in a few days...right?) do for this movie? Absolutely nothing seems like an appropriate answer. No, not every scene can be put into a movie, but if you're having to take out such important scenes then i dont see how you would have the time to put in such lousy scenes at the burning house and bellatrix f*cking up the great hall. Lets try and not put as many "creative touches" on the next one, enough people seemed to have liked the book...Rowling must have done something right.

My thoughts exactly - this film focussed too much on the adolescence explorations of the participants which is only the back drop to the plot. I have never been one of those people who say "it didnt live up to the book" but there is a first time for everything. It is inevitable that screenwriters have to edit story lines to fit the maximum length of a film and there is a huge amount of detail in the original story. However this time what they cut so much of the story that what was left made no sense - at the same time they added things not in the book which wasted valuable time on screen.

Of course everyone was curious to see the characters enjoy their first adult kisses BUT they are not pivotal to the plot - just the backdrop.

Does JK have absolutely no editorial control over the pictures or did she just sell them and forget them

btw. Your just sucking up hardcore to David Yates. His directing is god aweful, the screenplay was poorly executed. i read that book twice...and i cant believe that J.K rowling let such failure of a director direct her movies. Other than his accuracy...he forgot to mention how Dumbledore was buried actually entoumbed in a white Coffer, by the school that he so loved. I hope he does FAIL hardcore on book 7 cause thats a EPIC book. (cause its suppost to be epic) Btw. stop sucking up..it makes you look bad in front of all the book fans.. :/
