The Next Three Days did not score at the box office in America or in Europe, but that's not because Paul Haggis and Russell Crowe made a mediocre film.

In the last two weeks I've seen both The King's Speech and The Next Three Days, the films seem like two sides of a spectrum of film-making. The King's Speech a triumph over adversity, feel-good film with good performances. The Next Three Days is a what-if film with layers of back story and characterization bubbling away beneath the surface.

There must be something wrong with me. I thought
TN3D was the best RC performance since Cinderella Man
if not A Beautiful Mind. What idiot is responsible
for opening it against Harry Potter? I do not under-
stand all the negative comments about this film. It
was the most entertaining and best-cut film I have
seen in a long time. Is it just that reviewers are
pompous asses and think it is clever to tear down
movies without PC themes? Perhaps they should have
made some snide comments about evil corporations in
the film to make it the darling of "critics".
