My husband, James Martines, served his country and went to Vietnam twice. He was so proud to be in the U.S. Air Force and as a military family, the kids and I were proud too. It was a hard life with him gone, but we adjusted and loved it. After retirement, he worked as a mail carrier for the Post Office for another 20 years and we lost him unexpectedly January 15, 2008. He would have loved the movie Taking Chance..and all of my family with HBO has loved it..I am so proud of all our military men and ...for Chance, and Mike Strobl,and all who were in the movie. I have watched it 4 times..Thankyou for this wonderful movie..to watch it makes one PROUD to be an American..Kevin Bacon...the BEST! I cry thru the whole movie..every time..please show it on all other channels as all Americans need to see it and see how proud Americans are. My son is in the Coast Guard in Kodiak, Alaska and doesn't have HBO and I would love for him to see this movie! To all those who wrote, directed, advised, those at Dover, the workers at the airports...I thank you all...we should say a prayer of thanks every day and never forget those who serve our country!
