"Sports fans are euphoric because the merger now means that Major League Baseball (XM) and the NFL (Sirius) are both available."
This isn't accurate. MLB is not currently available for Sirius subscribers. Sirius XM is trying to work on a deal to make it available to Sirius subscribers for the 2009 MLB season but nothing is finalized yet.

I'm with you on that... I take my Sirius everywhere I go... The office, car and home.

This can't be beat!

I've been hooked for 2 yrs now. Also proud to say that I haven't touched the FM dial since... There is not a day that goes by that I do not hear something new and innovative in any genre of music. The bar has been set.

Finally can hear Wolfman Jack on Sirius! I live in NV and radio reception is almost nil unless you're close to Reno Tahoe or Vegas. The 70+ miles of nothing but open desert between towns would be hard to take without sat-radio.. Rock On XM & Sirius!

I have Sirius and agree with these comments. I like the new XM channels. I haven't seen anything about baseball being broadcast on Sirius next season. Is that going to happen?

Sorry, I didn't see the first post when I asked my question. I hope they get MLB on Sirius.

I had XM radio for 3 years when I had a Honda. I loved it. when I got a new car, a Lexus... they wanted $1,000 to install Sirius. It was hard to say no but I was in no way going to pay $1,000 for the radio.

I've been having withdrawals since and looking forward to finally getting Sirius in the next month. I can't wait!

When I bought my hyundai last year, it came with xm radio, and I will not let that subscription run out on it! I enjoy listening to the radio without commercials, the comedian channels are a blast to listen to! Keep the good stuff playing!

I love my Sirius but it's too bad they dumped the Strobe channel for hip-hop. Now we have even more channels that sound the same. On the other hand, I heard Dylan's show the other day and that was cool.

xm.com is NOT the xm radio url as you stated at the end of the article. The correct url is http://www.xmradio.com/

I've had Sirius for over a year, and am a big fan of new rock music. Sirius Fans used to have Octane 20, but the format has changed from new rock to rock from the last 15 years. There should be other channels for that format like Lithium and maybe even a new channel. XM fans apparently had Squizz, and if they liked that format, then great. But the merger removed choice. How is that good for music lovers?

Hey, quit putting down the talk radio and news channels available on Sirius. These channels are the only reasons I subscribe. In fact, when I started out I chose Sirius over XM because of the availability of NPR on Sirius.

I was only disappointed to find out that the pillars of NPR, Morning Edition and All Things Considered, are not included in the satellite broadcast.

I do not criticize the availability of music channels on Sirius for you music lovers, so please leave your criticisms of talk/news channels at the door.
