I'm so glad to see a good review! I can't wait to take my family to see this one...

Pixar is still years ahead of its competition.

I can't wait to see this movie. Though Disney puts out some good live-action movies, Pixar is saving the Disney animated movie industry, and they are one creative group of people. They just keep outdoing themselves!

Just saw this movie--it's great! The kids and adults both loved it. The Chaplin-esque story isn't as complex as other Pixar movies, but it is highly entertaining nonetheless.
The "Presto" short that accompanies the main flick is also excellent--a looney tunes sort of short about a magician and his rabbit. |

I saw this with my 4 children, ages 21, 17, 10 and 7 today; what a wonderful movie! Each came away with the same message of taking care of the earth and of oursleves, and of the beauty of friendship and love. Wall-E and Eve are most endearing!
We also loved all the paintings as the credits rolled, a perfect ending! |

Fantastic movie!! I disagree with one point though; this is by far the BEST Pixar effort to date!! Finding Nemo is excellent but WALL-E is in a class all its own. Do yourself a favor and see this, not only is it entertaining it is thought provoking and points a finger directly at where we are heading.

Are there a lot of sad parts in it? When it comes to Disney, I prefer plots more like The Emperor's New Groove (light, slap-stick) over plots like Lilo and Stitch (one sad momement after another)

I loved this movie. I think that everyone should see it. It was just amazing, I want to go see it again!

Nope ... it has sad parts but it moves quickly and does not wallow in them. I think this movie will do better overseas than any other Pixar production, and it has a great message. Toy Story and The Incredibles have more complex stories, imo, so I liked them better, but Wall-E is also excellent. |

I saw this movie two nights ago and it was excellent. What struck me besides the lack of dialogue and the lack of a need for dialogue was the photographic-quality of the animation. Technically brilliant.
An obese woman sat to my left, hand to mouth like a conveyor belt, shoveling in the popcorn and candy. I was embarrassed when we got to the fatties in the movie, because she was already like that. She, however, was CLUELESS about what a manatee she is. When we left (at Downtown Disney), I was not surprised to see her and her fatty husband TAKING THE ELEVATOR DOWN ONE FLIGHT OF STAIRS!!!!!! The dystopian future is closer than we think. |
