Boy, Roger Ebert really missed the mark on this review. The premise is that Benjamin grows older emotionally as he grows physically younger, not that he reverses the chronology of a story. The chronology of a life, regardless of the physical attrubutes of a body, is what makes the film so interesting. The relationship betweeen Benjamin and Daisy was between two characters who were essentially the same age. Why did this make Mr. Ebert shudder when Benjamin's visit to a brothel as boy did not? This review is the result of a failure to watch the movie with an open and interested mind.
