AOL |
I've written several books...one of which is one you've obviously read....Incredible Stupidity for Dummies...
oh...and Hunter is STILL a worthless piece of junk....The world has become a better place since he left it |
|||
|
Pervious? Really? Certainly you don't mean "Previous"!!!
|
||||
The funny thing is not only have you not written anything, you haven't even read any of his books and yet you spew inane comments about someone you've maybe see a Johnny Depp movie about. |

Not only is the Woody Creek tavern a great funky bar..everyone from Hunter S Thompson to Ed Bradley to Don Johnson has eaten there, but so did Julia Childs when she was in the Aspen area...everyone from bicyclist to motorcycle riders stop in for great fun and community spirit. Give it a try when you're out our way.

Wide vocabulary use you have there. No wonder you published such a rousing autobiography.

Who cares if they are dead, Thompson was a better American than you could ever dream of being.
Sure he did use drugs and consume massive amounts of alcohol and may have broken an uncountable amount of laws he lets a younger generation see that the rules that the "good guys" (i.e. Current Commander in Chief) place should be fought and spoken against before we blindly accept. I hope the bar is somewhat the same when i visit on my Great American Venture. Maybe you(UNinterested Party) need a whiskey and water mixed with a few bong rips. Perhaps then you wont criticise a published author from one of our coutries most intresting times without having read or understood what he was writing about. |

"Although I don't feel that it's at all necessary to tell you how I feel about the principle of indivuality, I know that I'm going to have to spend the rest of my life expressing it one way or another, and I think that I'll accomplish more by expressing it on the keys of a typewriter than by letting it express itself in sudden outbursts of frustrated violence. I don't mean to say that i'm about to state my credo here on this page, but merely to affirm , sincerely for the first time in my life, my belief in man as an individual and independent entity. Certainly not independence in the everyday sense of the word, but pertaining to a freedom and mobility of thought that few people are able-or even have the courage-to achieve."
-Page 70, Hunter S. Thompson - The Proud Highway. Saga of a desperate Southern Gentleman 1955-1967. Mr. UNinterested party, i hope that you might have the ability to realize that you most definently fall under the category of people that is NOT able and do NOT have the courage to achieve that. Your name even confimes this assumtion, mr NOT interested. Cheerio |

I am not sure it does. I am a huge Kerouac fan and there is an order he wants you to read them in. Called the Delouz Legend and is in the front of each recently printed book. Maybe you can google it. I am a fan but never heard of an order. Congrats on your purchase! |

You're kidding! Quick Call Former Pres Jimmy Carter and declare it a nation heritage site
It seems to work for the Hotel where Martin Luther King died. It's probably another retired Nixon man trying to change the past. Turn the Tapes off Mr President,smashing that precious hour glass again, and call Tom Wolfe and tell him to get stuffed. http://www.doonesbury.com/ I suppose, in some neo-con's mentality, he was Just a Journalist, not a social Icon.
