Quakertown High alum strikes a chord with query in Obama's onli...

Barack Obama , meet Jeff Spicoli. When the president opened his first Internet town hall Thursday, what he got, amid questions about the economy, health care and education, was a host of queries that could have come from Sean Penn 's pothead-philosopher in the movie ''Fast Times at Ridgemont High.'' Several marijuana legalization questions, ... Full Story

Wow - Barry doesn't support pot use. That's got to take the wind out of the sails of a lot of his bleary eyed supporters. What next - no relaxation of the kiddie porn laws, no lifting the ban on Gerbil cruelty? How will he ever recruit the new Obama army if he keeps striking down all these near and dear liberal issues?

It's a brilliant idea whose time has come. End marijuana prohibition & the so-called catastrophic "drug war's" over.

Tax & regulate like alcohol...problem solved.

Obama lied to drug policy reform activists during the campaign to stop them from confronting him and detracting from his campaign. Instead many of the activists believed Obama and became supporters and 'online' activists for Obama. Now he mocks the online activists and belittles them for their issue being among the most supported and voted for issues in HIS request for issues and support for issues. Obama LIED!

Last month Obama said that busts at medical marijuana dispensaries would stop. But the day before the town hall meeting there was another bust at a medical marijuana dispensary in San Francisco. Obama LIED!

Drug Warrior John Kerry border Chaos Hearing
http://drugwartreason.blogspot.com/2009/03/dr...

U.S. Senator John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is going to El Paso,TX on Monday to thump his chest and look macho over the blood and chaos caused by his drug war policy. I wrote to him in his capacity at chair of the committee and I am encouraging others to write to him also. And if your senator is on the committee write to them too. Contact information for the committee is on the letter.

Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey is on the foreign Relations Committee and you can reach him with the contacts on the page.

If they don't hear it from us they won't hear it!

NO MORE DRUG WAR!

How about: It's a drug. It can kill you. If you legalize it, you need to change regulations about driving under the influence - for which there isn't really a GOOD test... it's just a bad idea.

This post is too intellectually stunted to deserve the effort and time of any further response.

Obama announced more intelligence and enforcement people to militarize the Mexican border too.

In Afghanistan the Taliban get 70% of their financing from heroin and drug gang protection. We could cut their funding by 70% by medically regulating heroin addiction the way the Swiss have been, with great success, for more than fifteen years. We don't need more troops on the ground we simply need a responsible drug reform policy in the U.S. and U.N.

I wrote a letter to John Kerry about this yesterday. He is head of the Foreign Relation Committee in the Senate.

On a positive note. Pennsylvania state legislator Mark Cohen has announced that he will introduce a medical marijuana bill in the Pennsylvania legislature next month. Write to our state representatives and senators to support his efforts.

I wrote more about it here; Pennsylvania Legislator Backs Medical Marijuana

There is a good test, the same test used for alcohol today. Probable cause. Erratic driving is probable cause. Marijuana stays in the body for days so if a person is driving erratically then they can be tested in a hospital easily with an accurate blood test.

If there is no erratic driving then there is no probable cause.

Barry makes more money from the anti-pot industry, so it will unfortunately not happen.

Hemp would be a good step in the right direction but they won't budge on that one as well.

Have you heard the joke about the White Child Rapist who was set free while the Black Father serving a mandatory minimum sentence for simple drug possession never sees the light of day? Apparently, Obama thinks it's funny.

Sent to the White House:

I am among the millions of Americans who make a personal choice to use marijuana. Still in America, under your administration even, I can take comfort in knowing I will receive a lighter sentence due to the color of my skin. What about your brothers and sisters Mr. Obama? When are you going to speak up for them?

I don't find our questions to be funny. I'm a compassionate American and the War On Drugs is an assault on our very principles and foundation. We can no longer swallow all the lies and rhetoric. We will not stop fighting until we get the change that you promised us. The change we can believe in.

Um, you mean like alcohol?

Also a drug.

Also can kill you.

Also requires legislation relating to operating heavy equipment.

I said I was looking for a GOOD argument. Yours is easily dismissed.
