Amy Adams a treasure in the 'Museum' sequel

Full story: Chicago Tribune

I admit it: I was a little tough on the first "Night at the Museum." My son and I disagree all the time on movies, yet I suppose it took his delight in the film's simple but surefire premise to make me reconsider.

Is Amy Adams a "treasure" because of her form fitting pants?

I think she's adorable. I have no intention of seeing this movie, but in other films I've seen, she's completely stolen every scene she's in.

Must be an interesting flick. The Wright Brothers original Kittyhawk aircraft is not in the Smithsonian! It's still down at the Museum of Flight in, guess where; Kittyhawk, NC.

Now see, that's funny. Now this is what I'm talking about. Let's at least keep these lame A stories interesting with comments. Good job, bro.

Spare us your slobbering Amy Adams fandom. Several other trustworthy reviewers, including Roger Ebert, find this movie lame, overly long, and a mess. Ebert also notes that the real Amelia Earhart was not as nice as Adams supposedly portrays her. Your personal affection for this actress shouldn't be a substitute for being honest with your readers.

D straight and good call. Ebert and others at least have the B's to stand up to these goofs who keep feeding up the Hollywood C and except us all to just digest it with approval.

So... you expected historical accuracy from this film?

I agree that it looks flat-out awful, but still...

I stand corrected, but it still does not "belong" to the Smithsonian. It is on permanent loan (For a $1 fee) from the Wright heirs, with the stipulation that it not leave the Smithsonian, except to return to NC.

Verified with the National Park Service HQ at Kill Devil Hills.

Obviously these earlier posters do not have children. We went to a screening with our kids, 10, 9, 6 and 5 and LOVED it. For families this comes as a welcomed respite. We can't see Terminator or most PG-13 films. It is nice to have non-animated entertainment. Take it for what it is...FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT!

Agreed! We went last night with our kids and they LOVED it, and we did as well...it was a very fun, very kid-friendly film!
