HI Joe,

Have you ever been on one of the Elvis cruises? If so , did you enjoy it?

ALso, I think ronnie is great, haven't heard him in a long time though.
What is your take on Dr. NIcks' book? I just read it, I think he tells some of the same stories of other books, just in a softer, gentler tone. I think he waters down some of the bad times, yet he makes very clear some of the reasons Elvis was slurring his words and being unsteady on his feet, and it wasn't because of the drugs that people thought.
It was a drug for his colon that had side effects.
I "do" think dr. nick really tries to give his friend the benefit of the doubt, yet he doesn't lie about the drugs and the effects they were having.
After reading this book, I must say I have a different opinion of him. I think for that era of time he was trying to wean Elvis the best way he could.
I am still reading , it has substance.

So was I Nina. Beside it being a very small book, it lacked substance. I was expecting a lot more.
