I write this comment in great sadness at the loss of a very brave and special man. I had the honour to work with Percy in 2005 when he along with three other world war two vets, helped me to make a dvd entitled Honouring our heroes.
In this day and age young peoples minds are influenced by movie stars and footballers who are media heroes. In the case Percy Fielding, this man was a real life hero; one of the finest men I have ever met.
I know from my conversations with Percy that he treasured the memories of his late wife; if there is a god then Percy deserves to go to heaven and be reunited with his beloved soul mate.
I will miss this great man, my hero Percy Fielding, thanks for the memories.
