I am glad they caught this luvvie , who was filmed playing a crusty in real life. And aren't these luvvies clever? protest against an American president by hitting a British copper. That makes sense.

Where is the common sense. If these people are against war, why are they creating violence. They are freaking morons!

The original story has gone because the papers "shot their load" too early and believed the police without benefit of a proper trial. Lots of "allegedly"s missing from the Press Association root article. Video evidence was used in Anton's defence, showing the actual events in hi-def and demolishing the mets interpretation of events as caught on a distant, grainy CCTV camera working from a very deceptive angle. All of this does not hit the papers, though, because the press don't want to piss the cops off. The cops were already pissed off enough being caught in a... "mistake. READ between the lines. These "luvvies"/protesters are wide awake and trying to save our democratic bacon.

PS. Anton was found Unanimously Not Guilty. However, clearly the smear campaigned has worked a treat.

oh , dear, dear, Anton! what an excruciatingly trying time this has been for the poor dear, who got caught accidentally slapping a police woman while protesting against those awful rough soldiers. What a brave dear boy he is.

lots of kisses, Ray "Where's Me Pillow" Gosling.

If he slapped her he'd be inside now and the police video would have been all over the telly and internet. Proper Video evidence showed officers were, erm... mistaken in their allegations. You just don't hit women, whatever they're wearing. However, I have no sympathy for a woman who cries wolf because she only gets a lot of people in trouble - in and out of uniform. BTW, it was a demo against George Bush, not against soldiers. But the press WANT you confused. Don't be a sucker. Pay attention.

You like unsavory men?!! Wow. As some people are incapable of pressing a link for the full story: Actor cleared of violent disorder during London protest against President Bush. This means NOT GUILTY. This means HE DIDN'T DO IT. People should beware what libelous bandwagon they jump on. They could end up looking very silly. The Daily Mail has ended up in court for less.

Fat Housewife - thankyou for your comment, which I read with interest and amusement.
Your post came across as quite passionate really, demonstrated in your use of capitols and your use of the word 'libelous'.....so , I ask you a straight question, to which a polite straight answer will suffice....what has sparked such passion? Are you related to George? Are you indeed George himself? Have you ever even met George?
Also thankyou for pointing out to me, your viewpoint on people jumping on the 'libelous bandwagon'.....I can only presume you refer to myself.....which did I must admit raise a little smile.....as you appear to be pointing out how the legal system works.......do you know what profession I am in?
You also did not appear to understand my line re unsavoury men....or maybe you twisted the words for effect? If you need clarification in understanding anything you just need to ask, and I will do my upmost to help you.

Hello....I am thinking you may just be Avril???? If you are, then I am also thinking that you have probably had enough of bad press etc etc. Obviously if you are who I suspect you might be then you must have gone through a worrying and stressfull time.

I am not going to trade insults with you....what is the point? Life is too short. If you are Avril, then I wish you well....sincerely I do.

And to answer your question....am I between jobs? I did not really understand, unless you think I am in the acting profession like George - which I am not.....but a day off would be nice!

take care,:-)
