Film from the perspective of a tree?

I have a 3 year old autistic son who is interested in trees. He recently told me he wanted to watch a movie about trees, and, not knowing exactly what it was about, I let him watch part of a movie I found online called "The Fir Tree." It was the recent version directed by Lars Ostenfeld. From the look of it, I thought it would be a nice, harmless film about a tree nature.
Anyway, the film starts out amazingly, with beautiful shots of the forest and time lapse videos of the tree beginning to grow up. It was actually narrated and shown from the perspective of the tree, which was wonderful. However, I was not aware (as I guess I should have been) that this film was actually a retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen tale of a tree that gets chopped down to be used a Christmas tree and then burned in a tragic, cynical representation of the circle of life. This only became clear to me about 15 minutes in when a man brought an axe he was going to use to cut down the tree (which let's not forget, was supposedly narrating the story), and the tree began yelling in protest.
At that point, it was clear that I could not let my son watch the rest of this, so I turned it off. However, my son is very disappointed to no longer have a movie about a tree to watch, and I have spent the past hour scouring the internet for something similar that doesn't end in tragedy.
Does anyone know of another film that is shot or narrated from the perspective of a tree in the forest, but which might be more appropriate for a young child to watch? Something about the beauty of nature instead of the cruelty?
Any information would be appreciated!
