I'm trying to remember the name of a series. Here's what I remember of it:
- it was produced during the 80s, though late-70s is a possibility
- the subject matter was about the similarities different cultural groups have
- the beginning sequence began with a land-diving (a man on a primatively build wooden platform, dives off, secured with a vine around his ankle), a montage of different cultures and their activities (daning, theater, parades, etc.), then a clip from space
- the theme music playing over it was like this world music, with a synthesizer ending during the clip from space
- I saw it aired constantly on either KLCS or KOCE (if you're a Southern California native) a few years ago along with another of my favorites, The Western Tradition with Eugen Weber.

Whoever can tell me first gets a cyber bottle of St. Bernardus Abt 12 abbey ale.
