Dept. of Justice investigates DEA raids using NSA surveillance
The National Security Agency is obtaining information via wiretaps and electronic surveillance about common crimes involving Americans, which it then feeds to the Drug Enforcement Agency and local law enforcement to make arrests.

They'll say they found improprieties but no criminal offense or legal violations.
In the meantime someone remains in jail or has a criminal record that should never have been.
