Dear Annette, I was just thinking about you. I didn't even know that it is your birthday. I was born in 1951 (just turned 60 this year). When I was a little girl watching you on the Mickey Mouse Club, I thought you were wonderful, so pretty and so talented. I knew you were different. At the time I didn't know anything about your nationality. Well, you were the idol of a little Filipino girl in Charleston, SC (father from the Philippines and mother born in USA). It was not easy growing up in a biracial family in the 1950's. Thanks for being different. I came to love my uniqueness. I always pray for you and your family. Happy Birthday Annette!

How could any one be inappropriate to the prettiest Mousekateer of them all. I use to race home from school to see all of you. You will always be the love in a little boys heart. Even now at 63. Always keep up the spirit that we have all loved.

I've just finished reading Wally Lamb's novel WISHIN' AND HOPIN' in which you are a character. Since you and I are of the same generation and one of my first and favorite TV shows was THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB, I went on-line to get an update on your situation. Just wanted you to know that you still have many fans who care about you and wish you well.

I, as so many others, used to watch the old Mic-key M O U S E Club. You stood out to me from the very beginning and, although I had not heard the word "role model" at that time, that is what you were to me. I believe that I was in the fifth grade and you were my friend.

I've been thinking about you and hoping you are surrounded by friends and family on this first Saturday of the new year, 2012. You are still a role model and I admire that you continue to go forward through life and use all of the tools available to you to inspire others and make yourself comfortable.

May this be the year for the cure of MS !!!

I have the greatest respect for you, watched everything that you have ever done. Grew up with MM club, you are an American Icon.

Your decision to put husband and children before your career just made you rocket to the stars with me.

My wife gave me a portrait of you many years ago, it hangs on my office wall. She says you are the only girlfriend that I can have without getting killed.

Via con Dios, pretty lady

Always your fan and admirer

I remember growing up with you. I always admired you and how pleasant you were. Last night I saw Frankie Avalon and I thought of you. They showed a picture back to the Beach. I felt sad for you. I have been sick since I was 29 and now I am 63. I have asthma and chemical sensitivity, which destroys your body. I also have fibromylgia. I didn't see my 30's and 40's because I was in and out of the hospital. So I know what your going through. Its even harder when you did so much for our generation. God Bless you Annette.

Dear Annette,
I have written a letter to you in April this year, I didnt know I could find you on the internet, its all new to me, this modern technology. Iam so sorry to hear of your illness, I have loved and admired you since the Mickey Mouse Club. I met all the other Mousekeets when they came out to Sydney Australia. I was so disappointed you were not there. I asked Jimmy where you were, and he said you were busy. I also met Kare, and Cubbys Mothers, I also go tot go up into their hotel room at Kings Cross in Sydney. Oh how I wish you had been there. May God Look after you and your family, and know that love and prayers are being sent your way from many miles away. God Bless Love Paulette from Brisbane Australia X
