New Challenges Await Obama The Candidate

There are 32 comments on the KSAT story from Jan 8, 2011, titled New Challenges Await Obama The Candidate. In it, KSAT reports that:

He promised change, and he looked the part. No longer. The Barack Obama of 2011 is a chief executive who confronts enormous challenges, chief among them the economy, as he starts building a re-election campaign far different from the juggernaut of optimism and trajectory that vaulted him to the White House.

It is a joy to watch!
There is no Tea Party, never was one. Some independents were duped to vote for Republicans when they rebranded themselves as "Tea Partiers". I hope a REAL Tea Party forms with ALL the independents and BOTH major parties are given the BOOT.

If the first 3 days of control of the House in the hands of the republicans is any indication, President Obama will be re-elected in a landslide; especially if that dumb bimbo Sarah Palin is the GOP’s nominee.
Oh by the way, the republicans control the House now… where are the jobs?

<quoted text>Agree. Obama's problem is he's ignored the economy for 2 years and escalated the war four times with a new commitment through 2014.
By that time, the National Debt will have exceeded out entire GDP and Interest payments on it will equal the Entire Military Budget! Obama's put our country into terrible shape.
The wars are a drain on our economy that has added an extra monetary burden on the US in the form of 1 trillion and counting. We’ve got to cut our losses now.

Ask your president, he is the one that said two years ago that the economy was THE TOP PRIORITY, AND ALSO JOBS ARE HIS FIRST PRIORITY..........BUT WE BOTH KNOW THEY WERE ALL LIES AS USUAL.

There’s a certain sense here of you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It wouldn’t have mattered what I posted, you would have said the same thing. If I advocated a continuation of the wars, you would have pulled out the card that said, well didn’t Obama promise to withdraw the troops as soon as he became president? Or what about the costs of the wars and loss of American lives? Or bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan, what are we still doing in Afghanistan? Or the US is not into nation building. Or the war in Afghanistan is now the longest war we’ve engaged in and there is no end in sight. Or let’s not have a repeat of history by continuing the prophetic line- Afghanistan is the graveyard of empires, the USSR being(hopefully) the most recent empire to die there.

If I advocated a withdrawal of our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, then I get what you posted.

I’m curious, what do *you* advocate?

One more thing, I'm a mature adult, so the silly name calling is just so wasted on me.
