Hefty Director Tweets Foul After Airline Ejects Him

Kevin Smith says he's "way fat," but that shouldn't stop him from flying. The director and actor says a pilot ejected him from a Southwest Airlines flight from Oakland to Burbank, Calif., saying he didn't fit properly in a single seat. Full Story

I can't stand the fact that they feel the need to apologize. Why should he be treated any different that others of his size who would be removed but not apologized to. You can bet he could afford to fly on a plane that had first class. Enough of this. If you don't fit, you don't fit. I can't stand sitting next to someone who takes up part of my space on a plane.

Smith should understand it's not all about him. If he needs two seats normally to be comfortable, consider the comfort of those who would be on either side of him if he was sitting in one seat. Flying standby doesn't give him the right to compromise the comfort of other paying passengers.

Why do people put up with this kind of treatment? The Airlines feel they can do anything to the public. It amazes me what people put up with. Come on would any other business survive treating cutomers in this fashion? We are charged outrages prices, for drinks, for baggage,we get bumped from overbooked flights. People today are just like a herd of sheep, mindless masses eatine the s--t fed to them.

You know in advance. He bought 2 seats on the original flight. Tried to catch an earlier flight. Quit your griping. If you don't like it, drive. Southwest doesn't charge for baggage.

I don't like it,and I do drive. My point is the airlines do abuse it's cutomers. Southwest is no different when it comes to nickel and dimeing the public. seems to me you are sheep..........

being fat means high blood pressure and multiple other complications to a persons health. What is the problem that he can't face these facts and just loose some weight for his own sake and his family and friends. Obesity is a national epidemic in the USA its

400,000 Heart-Related American Deaths In 2010

Posted on: Tuesday, 2 February 2010, 06:10 CST

Experts said on Monday that rising obesity rates are holding up decades of progress in the U.S. on cutting cholesterol, blood pressure and smoking, adding that heart disease will cause 400,000 Americans to die this year.

British scientists found that half of those deaths could be averted if people ate healthier food and quit smoking. Experts also cautioned there was no room for complacency when it came to heart health risks, according to Reuters.

The fat F&#K should walk. Perhaps then he would loose some weight. I am so tired of sitting next to fat people on airplanes. If you can't fit in one seat, buy two or do not eat so much.

Sheep? Because I can afford to fly? I don't need 2 seats. I don't pay for my luggage. I don't complain. I would rather get there sooner than later. I have seen the USA. Don't need to drive it any more. The guy admitted he was fat. He should have just stuck to his regular flight.

I have nothing againest bigger people but I do agree with bigger people paying for 2 seats. Why should I pay for mine and have half a person or even a little bit of a person sharing it with me?!

Just another hollywood type that is trying to throw his weight around! Haa
Any way I wish every public venue would make those that do not fit into one space to pay for two. I HATE when I go somewhere and have to sit next to some super sized slob who is spilling out of there space into mine. We who work to maintain some reasonable size should not have to be forced to give up our space whether it is an airplane, theater, or concert to someone who is just gluttonous or lazy.
