I'm thrilled by Terence Howard's nomination; he really derverves it, and disappointed for Jeff Daniels, who was also excellent. I'm also really happy that William Hurt was nominated for Violence; he was great. I don't agree that Reese is a shoe-in; I think Felicity Huffman has a shot.
I'd love it if It's Hard Out There for a Pimp won; it's going to be fun just to see it performed at the awards.
I thought a big ommission was Woody Allen's Match Point. All it got was a screenplay nod. It was, for my money, one of the most fascinating films of the year. Other films I thought were slighted; Mad Hot Ballroom and Cache.
