It's no surprise to anyone that "Brokeback Mountain" would come out of the - uh - closet, if you will, and strip all other movies of any chance of winning an Academy Award. If a movie is wholesome or family-oriented, it's automatically dismissed in Hollywood as a potential hit. My opinion counts as nothing in the big scheme of things, but thanks for the opportunity to tell you how sick and disgusting it is to shove gay rights down the throats of mainstream America. Hollywood would laugh itself silly should a movie about heterosexual rights be introduced as a topic for a screenplay, and once, just ONCE, I would like to see a heterosexuals fairly treated on the liberal agenda. That will be the day. Mel Gibson was villified for his excellent production "The Passion of The Christ." There is something wrong with Hollywood - or should I say - there is something wrong with this picture?

That is pretty muchly true. Gays and lesbians have to have their place in society and if they do not they start to scream bloody murder about people being prejudised against them. They are abomidations against GOD. Their innane blasphemy is disgusting.

GDD, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I will eventually. As for you other two narrow-minded bigots (Linda and Alex)... nobody's forcing anything down your throats. Choose not to see the movie, but don't try to force your will on others! Last time I checked, America with a secular government with all the FREEDOM that goes along with it (although with all the bible thumpers in power these days, I'm not sure how long before America will resemble a Taliban ruled Afghanistan!!!)

What and who gave you the right to judge people? Are you receiving direct communications from God or your supreme source for your opinions? The God I believe in places no conditions on his/her living creatures...My God only wants me treat others the way I would like to be treated..everything begins and ends with the "Golden Rule"...there are derivations of this rule for all the world mainstream religions. It's an individual choice.

Did God write this personally...or did man/woman have a wee bit to do with this spin on sexuality? Respect your right to your opinion but I don't think God had anything to do with this issue...after all, we are human. The Catholic faith has had issues ...don't want to go down this road (Pedophilia)

Scott, you're a foot soldier of The Homosexual Agenda.

To claim that homosexuals do not force their political views down peoples throats is an outright lie, and you know it.

Just look up FISTGATE and go read the GLSEN website to see how they recruit little children.

Brokebutt Mountain is a Homosexual Agenda Propaganda Film pure and simple, it comes right out of the Agenda playbook verbatim. Oh, and I DO have a copy of the Homosexual Agenda.
You have a copy of the Agenda? Can you FedEx me a copy? I've been hearing about it for years, but my local Barnes & Noble never has it in stock.

Grow up. It's a simple overlong movie made from a simple short story (all 20-odd pages of which you can find in PDF form online). It doesn't have any overt political message, so I'm not quite sure which chapter of the Agenda it comes from. As for the tangential references to recruitment websites, how does that relate to being a Wyoming shepherd again?

You know, I don't get people like you? why are you so emotionally handicapped? You and Heterodefender. Im a straight female as well. With all thats wrong with the world you can only find time to bash a film about cowboys falling in love? You are the reason we have films like this. I respect, as i said to heterodefender, your opinions but why come to a chat just to spout such hateful babble?! Im not gay and dont uite understand the appeal but can't you just leave well enough alone? I dont understand how anyone could miss the profundity of this film...or that you could side with taking a tire iron to someone because of who they love.
