i mean can you really blame the doctors for over prescribing? why would one feel the need to take all of those types of medicines? i think that hollywood misuse "accidential." would it be "accidental" if Pookie the heorin addict down the street OD'd, i think not! i don't feel sorry for these overpaid hollywood cry babies.

I think Heath (rest in peace) was probably, tired, anxious, and in pain and took the medications that were a deadly combination. If I were a doctor, I wouldnt prescibe 3 bad boy drugs for one person. Oxycontin and Valium are dangerous enough.

While I have admittedly no basis in fact for this, I would venture a guess that the prescriptions were from at least a couple of doctors. Keep in mind that unless they were the ones to prescribe all of your medications, a doctor doesn't know what other medicines you are taking unless you tell him/her. Same thing with pharmacies. Unless you only get your scripts filled at one place, they don't know what else you take and therefore can't warn you about interactions.

Their calling it "accidental" because they are unsure whether is was suicide or stupidity..

There is nothing "accidental" when someone takes that many high power pills at a time. These people are not that stupid not to know. We need to reject these sanitized versions and call it like it is. In this case it was "suicide" or "stupidity". Nothing else fits.

Why does it matter? The fact remains that a young man, father and raising star lost his life needlessly. Maybe the doctors should have offered some type of help instead of drugs.

How insensitive and cold of you. Do you know him or his personal situation? You are a sad cold person.

How do you "accidently" take more than the prescribed dose of a medication?

It can happen! Im on prescribed medication, & some times i cant remember if i have taken my meds. I take four different medications for different reasons. One time i took twice the dose of my heart medicine, & i ended up calling the poison control center. So thats why i know it can happen.

So sad, he was so young, & had his whole life ahead of him. May he rest in peace.

It wasn't that he accidently took more than prescribed, but in taking the prescribed amount of each they produced a multiplying effect causing an intoxication.

This can happen when different doctors are prescribing the meds (especially when some are on different continents).

Well, JoJo I take a few meds myself, one for heart, but if I think I haven't taken my pills, I don't rush to the cabinet and take them. I wait several hours just to make sure I don't "accidently" od. Besides, I put my pills in a weekly dosage container - 7 separate compartments - if Tuesday's dose is still in there on Wednesday, then obviously I forgot Tuesday's dose. Kinda makes me wonder why you can't so soemthing similar. Maybe lack of sense???

Sounds like you need some heart meds, do to you dont have a heart ! You shouldnt go around saying people dont have sense, that makes you an unlikable person in my book.

You are so right. I had a doctor like that once. I really liked him. He is no longer in practice. People have died in his care of prescription overdoses.
