Charles Krauthammer: Three cheers for the junk man's stand on screening

There are 4 comments on the Long Beach Press-Telegram story from Nov 18, 2010, titled Charles Krauthammer: Three cheers for the junk man's stand on screening. In it, Long Beach Press-Telegram reports that:

Ah, the airport, where modern folk heroes are made. The airport, where that inspired flight attendant did what everyone who's ever been in the spam-in-a-can crush of a flying aluminum tube - where we collectively pretend that a clutch of peanuts is a meal and a seat cushion is a "flotation device" - has always dreamed of doing: pull the lever, blow ...

" ... The only reason we continue to do this is that people are too cowed to even question the absurd taboo against profiling ..."

NO IT ISN'T.

It is a slow and methodical process to limit our movement throughout the country.

China does it now. When will it be required for us to have a passport to visit another state?

No Charles is right. Idiots in this country are afraid of offending each other. Stereotypes and profiliing work for a reason. Civil rights have turned this country into a society of bull shit.

So, what the author is suggesting is that only people who look like terrorists should be searched, scanned etc. Okay, I agree all this mess is a pain in the a**. So, it's a great governmental conspiracy again. The "junk man" just wanted his 15 minutes. Now, he has it.
So, what this author wants is a line for light skinned people and a line for dark skinned people.Ya, that'll work, once we get thru the courts. There are white muslims. Oh, oh.
We may never be able to fly again. We must protect the men who are afraid of their "junk" getting touched.
Can't the TSA/government figure out a way to screen without touching off all fears of normal, non-terrorist society?

No the government cannot figure out how to do this without screwing it up. It is another typically, inefficient, expensive, offensive government boondoggle. Why do you think airports are beginning to ask the TSA to leave?

You think profiling is wrong & will end up in the court system? Wait until the charges of sexual harassment start being processed against the TSA hacks who are abusing children.

Looking for the potential terrorists needs to start before they get to the airport, not when they are standing in line 30 minutes from boarding their flights.
