Blondie and Benatar team up for Musikfest

Pat Benatar and Deborah Harry , among the most influential living female rock singers, will share a bill when Benatar's group and Blondie perform Aug.

Too bad that musikfest continues to have venue's in that God-Forsaken "riverplace".... It would be nice to see a concert in a decent place where you are not stuck between a canal and a river--- getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and so far away from the stage you cannot even see the monitors. Wake up musikfest--

I like both artists. but in 2009 is this really neccessary? People who work for Musikfest should read Pitchfork or the online version of NoDepression. Lets get with it! Also, it has come to my attention that Musikfest officials listen to the Blend on WDIY. Get a clue and book the bands you hear on there. Call Carlos Benjamin or Neil Hever and get some reccomendations. Or contact me. Call Neil and ask how to find me. He will point you in the right direction.

i saw pat benatar in concert in atlantic city a few years ago, she was awesome - still has the pipes to bang out all those hits she had -- i will be there for sure!

The ladies can sing, that is true. But how about a mini festival within the festival of bands like the Donnas?
Now that would be fun. While I wouldn't mind seeing Pat and Deb, I'm more interested in seeing this opening act and more bands like them at MFest in general(or anywhere, really).
