Weird. Good idea but bad planning. That area doesn't have enough parking for the library. This will be very interesting.
Who will be paying for this? Does anyone know?

Right now tickets are $35 for 3 shows and they're planning to sell 4000 tickets. I think May 1st the tickets go up to $45. The money is supposed to help cover costs for the free events all summer. Plus they'll be selling food/beverages at an inflated price I'm sure.

They will probably use the libarary parking for volunteers and employees and the village south lot for residents and I hear they are going to have shuttles to the Metra lot for extended parking, and with the bike path right there, and homes fairly close, I think many may walk as well so they don't have to worry about drinking and driving. They don't really expect 4000 to attend each concert but for that ticket price, residents can pick and choose which concert they do plan on attending. Three different style bands. More variety of interest that way. I think it is a great idea and during these economic times, may be some of the only concerts I can afford to go to.

These concerts were a great idea for the summer. You are absolutely correct when you say it is a great idea and the price is just right whether you attend one concert and even better when you attend all of them! I know that we will be there!

I attended the Peter Frampton concert last night, and it was phenomenal. When he first came out on stage my friends and I were like "Who is this old guy, and where is Peter Frampton?" Of course, none of us have gotten any older - LOL!!

But when he started to play, he didn't seem so old. The man is absolutely amazing. I'd go to see him play again in a NY minute.

As for the other two concerts in the series - I missed the Gin Blossoms one - it wasn't that important to me. Blues Traveler was good, but nothing compared to Frampton Live!! in New Lenox.

Food and beer prices wewre incredibly cheap. We spent about $25 each show for my wife and i and we ate all night. It was wonderful.

I absolutely love everything about the Commons. The concerts were awesome, the movie nights are great for the kids, the free concerts and other entertainment there is so amazing. How many other communities have planned so many community events at little to no cost to the residents. I applaud all those involved with this and really hope they continue to give residents a feeling of community pride and support as they have with this summer's activities. When was the last time you paid $15 dollars for a concert, or 3 bucks for a beer at ANY event. I can't think of any.
