From theonion.com : To conclude the press conference, Armstrong showed reporters footage of his first steps on the moon to demonstrate that the most dam[n]ing evidence was "right under our noses." Speeding up the tape and replaying the graceful moonwalk several times in a row, Armstrong explained that the iconic images of humanity's triumphant dance with the cosmos was actually just a film of him walking backwards, slowed down, and played in reverse.
And more.. Added Armstrong, "I suppose it really was one small step for man, one giant lie for mankind." |

I never doubted for a minute that Michael Jackson was the first moonwalker.

Funny! This story was copied by a newspaper (I think?) in India, where they didn't realize that the "Onion" is an on-line satire mag!
Years ago, an Indian politician distributed copies of Art Buchwald's column in Parliament, thinking that it was a real news item! I tell my students: ALWAYS check things out! |

1 This just trips me out. If you don't believe we went to the moon you have a screw or two loose. My brother works for NASA. Once and for all, YES WE DID GO TO THE MOON. People like this make me very afraid for our future. As does Obama. |

1 Yep. I have little love for Obama. But I had to talk my son out of believing that he's a Muslim plant to destroy the country just this afternoon. People, please just don't go over the edge on me. |

1 Thing is many conspiracy nuts read this kind of satire and think no smoke without fire. I can remember a conspiracy site abovetopsecret where guys argued we did not get there. One village idiot said that because of linked consciousness if we got to the moon the balance of life here would change...I suggested it was the balance of his mind that changed lol Problem is people seeing conspiracy THEORY as fact !! There is an awfully large chunk of metal called a Saturn V on display and several recovered capsules..etc We knew the Russians were planning on getting there...to not actually do it would have been foolish. The recent pictures of the LM's from space have them all going on about FAKE!! lmao It's like those Martian cities and artifacts that people keep finding in probe photos..lmao We look for intelligent life out there..when there is scant evidence of it here !! lmao |

I actually had the privilege to go to Huntsville last year and see that large chunk of metal, that did indeed take us to the moon. Check out this video. I get to go see that launch Oct. 31, with my brother the rocket scientist. I can't wait but this is actually a little scary. http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/2... |

I think what upset me the most is that there was not one sentence giving credit to big foot,who in fact is believed by many at the "home" to have orchestrated the entire plan to beat the Russians in the space race,we owe this patriot a great debt,so! thank you hairy one.(p.s. do you think we can get Armstrong to admit the world is flat?)

Pretty awesome!! I would seel the glass as souvenirs!! Just think the Saturn V must have been evil in comparison!! |
|||
|
The Onion's right. It was all a farce.
Think about it: what did they bring back from the moon? Rocks. Rocks and dust. Everyone knows the moon is made of cheese. |
