'Angels & Demons," a sort of sequel to the cheerful, brain-numbing box-office smash "The Da Vinci Code," makes a better book than a movie.

saw it this afternoon. i can't say it was the best movie i've seen in the last 3 months, i'ld have to say 'knowing' was that, but it was a brilliant look inside the vatican, lots of beautiful churches, sculpture and a very good plot + a great ending.

Have not seen the movie, however, the book was much better than it's successor, DaVinci Code. I could never understand why they made "Code" before A&D. But then having read both books before "Code" was made, my imagination could not buy Tom Hanks as the lead character. Nothing against Tom, just not for this story.

I lost all respect for Dan Brown's writing once I discovered that Davinci Code was NOT based on actual conspiracy evidence. He made it up.

I will not go see this movie for the simple fact that Mr. Hanks seems so hypocritical. He makes movies like "John Adams" while he supports a liberal agenda that attacks our constitutional rights as well as diminishing American's religious beliefs with his comments on the Mormons. I don't know how a man with this kind of ideaology could possibly produce a movie on one of the founding fathers. It must have irked him to no end. The guy has lost alot of credibility with people and I think like George Clooney his viewership will suffer. But then isn't Hollywood full of hypocrisy?

Yeah, Dan Brown is a fiction writer. In fiction you can make anything happen. Just because the setting is in a church, or uses common experiences, does not make it any more real.

I can't believe anyone would have thought it was based on truth in the first place.

If one were to believe Dan Brown's books, I suppose Star Wars and Alice in Wonderland become real life as well.
