Beloved actor dead of pneumonia at 84

When most people think of Leslie Nielsen, who died yesterday from complications of pneumonia, they think of Airplane! or the Naked Gun movies or, if they're really trying to outcool you, the spectacularly deranged and fundamentally doomed six-episode TV series Police Squad! Me, I think of Saturday Night Live.

Yeah, Leslie Nielson always cracked me up with that dry sense of seriousness and unassuming innocence!

Well I was very young and like the three stooges when you were a kid slap stick is funny. Plus there was an intellect that one had to accually see thru in that brand of comedy. Sorry you missed it.

I did, and I loved Peter Sellers, and Jack Benny too, who were in the same mold.
