Review: Sean Combs in "Raisin in the Sun"

Having read the play when I was in junior highschool, I am looking forward to seeing this TV production. I have read several positive reviews of the TV movie. Hope it is as good as they say.

Wonder if it's true what they say about P Diddy and how BIG his "talent" is. Would love to see his BIG "talent" up close and personal...

Watched the first 17 minutes and had to stop because Puffy is horrible!!! Everyone is great with the exception of Sean "Puffy" Combs. Did they have tryouts or did he just buy his way to the role? Someone needs to tell him that just because he's a great business man doesn't make him an automatic actor or rapper. You know your a bad actor when you need to recreate the set in your own home to practice( and he still stinks to high heaven).

Enjoyed the movie. P Diddy could've been more passionate in certain scenes. Overall, everyone did a good job.

Phylicia Rashad gave a moving performance, but Combs just didn't have the emotional depth or the acting experience to pull off this role, I just kept seeing a rapper who was trying to act, I'm sorry but he just didn't cut it for me.

I'm in agreement with all those who said Sean Combs was terrible. He was. He may have been able to pull it off on stage, but TV is too intimate to have such a stone face. His emotions ranged from A to B. The rest of the performers were radiant, including the child who played Travis. Most notable was Phylicia Rashad. She was amazing!!! Sean Combs did bring down the enjoyability of watching this life altering play.
