This was an good succinct account of a great actor/director, whose career should be shared with African Americans to inspire them to read more about how others like Ivan Dixon has played key roles in opening better dialogues among all Americans; especially as it concerns race relations.

He played such great but simple roles of dignity (including Nigerian in A Raisin in the Sun, but especially in Nothing but a Man). I am a white woman who misses his point of view so much! he was a great actor, lost in TV for too many years.
