A man can gain much euphoria sabotaging his brother for competitive wealth. A woman finds relish in punishing her sister who was very cruel to her in the past. A male high school teacher has an affair with one of his beautiful young female students and believes he has fallen in love with her, but their affair seems doomed.
Vanity is so intriguing, therefore naturally, for our age of consumerism convenience culture (i.e., Burger King), movies about opulence stir our modern daydreams about ornamental living.
This explains the recent rise in popularity of lifestyle-themed Hollywood (USA) movies such as "Chef" (2014) and "The Aviator" (2004).
