Rafer Guzman's review of "Mamma Mia" is a reason I never read a review before seeing a movie. My IQ. is over 130, I'm college educated and I pay my own admission (overpriced as it is), usually weekly. Critics are just doing a job -- giving their opinion. This is America, folks! My movie opinion is just fine, thanks, for me. This movie is good entertainment. Period. It's a musical for goodness sakes! Many performers in many movie musicals aren't great singers. But overall, it's frothy fun and works very well. Forget Guzman. Sit and see the beautiful Greek Isles scenery. Can you stand ABBA? Then suspend believe, shovel over for bucks and enjoy. Ba humbug, Guzman.

This reviewer has absolutely no idea what he or she is talking about. It's a comedy musical. It's camp. It's cheesy. It's saucy. Everything this kind of film is meant to be. Granted it's not Tony award winning stuff but modern musicals are more about entertainment that musical credibility. If you want a breathtaking vocal performance go and see it on the stage.
I think the box office speaks for how good this film is.

I saw it, loved it, laughed my *ss off. Go with a friend and an open mind. Know ahead of time that Pierce Brosnan can not sing. Who cares? He looks darn good!!!!! It was not taken too serious. It was really lighthearted. It's a typical corny musical....but funnier.

I enjoyed it! It was fun to see middle-aged actors of our time letting it cut loose..I didn't worry so much about the singing voices, just their passion and free spirits!

NOW, if we can only get ABBA to get back together for one night and film it in Sweden and do a pay-per-view event...that would be excellent!!!
