His films aren't documentaries! They're completely one-sided, biased political opinions. I.e. in Bowling for Columbine he interviews Charleton Heston, the Michigan Militia, and Tim McVeigh's brother. That's hardly a fair picture of the average gun-owner.

More power to him to express his opinions - but that's all they are. There is nothing scientific or "documentary" about them and its terribly misleading that people keep referring to them like that.

There is a long history of documentaries being subjective. It's a history that's as long as the history of documentaries themselves. There is no rule that says objectivity is required to meet the term "documentary."

Michael Moore's films are polemics. They're opinionated. You may think they're wrong. But they *are* documentaries.
