The original "Christine" (1983) is a John Carpenter movie adaptation of the Stephen King novel about an American teenager who purchases a vintage automobile named 'Christine' which turns out to be possessed by an evil spirit and proceeds to seduce the owner into terrorizing his friends and community.

There is talk of a Dreamworks sequel to "Christine" (1983), possibly starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which should illuminate the cultural appeal of the Hollywood (USA) movie "The Mask" (1994).

Are they printing movie posters on hemp/recycled paper yet?

God bless!

I believe a remake or possibly a sequel could be well done, given today's technology. I'm a little surprised it hasn't been done yet. The new Challenger would be a perfect car to use for a sequel, both being Mopars.
Unfortunately we'll probably never see this come to be...

No.
The car would HAVE to be the 58 plymouth used in the original movie.
Remember the last scene where the car gets crushed and the camera does a close up and some of the metal starts moving.

Remember the end scene where christine gets crushed and the camera does a close up and some of the metal moved?
...it would HAVE to be the 58 fury used again.

You don't just make a sequel to a movie like that and put another car in it lol
It takes away from the actual purpose of the original....

It wouldn't have to be a 58 Plymouth..just take another car that isn't quite as well known and have it "back into" Christine's remains at which time the evil in her would transfer to the new car.

They could find or build a new. Christine. Hollywood can do almost anything. But in my humble opinion few remakes are anywhere near as good as originals nor or the sequels . Kinda tired 9403of remakes

Remake Christine? No way, it was a good movie. Remake crappy movies, like "Chairman of the Board" or even "Stop or My Mom Will Shoot".

Maybe if a part off the hunk of metal at the end could be removed and placed on another car then it could be posed by the old part.

The metal from the original car could be melted and re-used to build another car in a sequel (obviously the demonic spirit will pass along to the new car)

I agree, Christine got compacted into a small cube no bigger than a pallet. And we all know that's not going to buff out.

So lets take that cube melt it down, and have the Last Buick GNX, made # 500, Harness Christine's evil soul. I know we're switching to GM but I think it would be cool.

( There were only 500 GNX built and all of them sold BEFORE the first one what built. A first in automotive history)

Just an Idea, I really love MOPAR, Don`t get me wrong I would love to se the `58 more so.
