to update law to current European level wouldn't change anything at all and it is part of make up. some tiny section of socity are tolerant and easy going and other wast majority of citizens are still ill educated and brain washed about evilness of christianity which is nit true at all.

European court of human rights challanged Turkish court on congregation’s right to freedom of association of a church.

a completely bias article, by a religious group ...

taking just the (partial) statement of priest does not prove anything ....
these are the personal, certainly subjective, impressions and views of this person .....

the author is from the US .... well, let me ask, how is it be Muslim in America??

ask any Muslim in the 'free' nation of US, and you will here the same (if not worse), how they are treated in the public and the authorities ....

it is simply a joke ..

sounds just a little bit odd after a couple of centuries rule by Persians and at least 1/2 millenium rule by Turks.... where did all these Muslims disappear?????

if devil is so cunning i.e knowing,

it has to be peaceful & constactive.

otherwise he will have nothing to govern.

if god is so good he will let this happen.

and finally take the control.

Bias? hardly!!!

In the U.S. there no massacres or pogroms directed against Muslims.
Muslim actually prefer to live in Christian countries rather than in their own Islamic ones.

In Istanbul alone, the Greek population decreased from 65,108 to 49,081 between 1955 and 1960. Today it stands at about 4,000 mostly elderly.

a.) Iranians??? Since when does Armenia have an Iranian minority? There are few Iranians businessmen with there families living in Armenia because Iran is one of the few countries which have trade links with Armenia...

What a dumb comparison?!?!

b.) Kurds??? Well there indeed is a small Kurdish minority living in Armenia, but the majority of this (so called) Kurds even do not declare themselves as Kurds because they are not Muslims.... they are Yezidis!!!
Many Yezidis (incl. in Turkey, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq) believe they belong to another, different ethnical group than the Kurds.
Of course PKK does not agree to this, and here we have (the former) 2nd group of Kurds in Armenia which lived there during the times of USSR, when they were the principal financier of this Terror group....

The majority of this 2nd group left the Armenian Republic, after declaring independence, for Syria....

Making such comparisons shows how much you know about your own “homeland”....

But you still did not answer my question: WHAT HAPPENED WITH ALL THE MUSLIMS (different Turkish groups, Georgians, Cercassians and others) who lived in Armenia during the Ottoman rule, which lasted at least 500 years???

Why did you or your parents emigrate to the US??

Was it not for economical reasons, because the population of the Greek Islands were always poor and disadvantaged .... including in present Greece?

Well this is the same reason, why Muslims emigrate to the US. Economical Reasons !

Even you will agree, declaring yourself a Muslim today in the States can be dangerous .... let's disregard all the discrimination you will be confronted with.... much more important all government security agencies will spy on you ... just read the recent articles about the NYPD and FBI activities during the last years ...

Regarding your links:

Let's be frank, if I would start to search the Net, I too certainly will find numerous articles against Muslims in Greece ...

Neither Greece nor the Greeks are angels ....

You forget that each time, the population exchange was decided by BOTH parties.... the incidents which you refer in 1955-1960 were results of the mistreatment of Turks on Crete and Cyprus, but of course this point is disregarded by you ...

How many Turks are today living in Thessalonica or Kavala??? Are you aware that Kavala was 99,9 % populated by GREEK Muslims, ok what ever happened to population happened, but what about the 100's of Mosques, where did they disappear???

You see, the Turks can always come with a contra-argument against any your claims ....

Fact is, You Greeks are not better or worst than the Turks ... both people are very, very similar !!!

2000 years ago Anatolia was pagan, 1500 years ago it was Christian and today it's Muslim.

3000 years ago Arabia was Jewish, 2000 years ago it was Christian and today it's Muslim.

History evolves, no point in cyring because people converted. That's beyond silly. "Let's turn back time and stop people from converting". Great plan!

Actually not a single Turk kidnapped an Armenian child or women during the deporation, as no Turk took Armenian land or property. Only kurds did that and they still occupy former kurdish lands and properties.

Not my problem though, kudos to the kurds for making themselves a home from scratch.
